Locum Small Animal Vet – Huntingdon

Key Details:

  • Working Days: ASAP through to 21st Aug and again 7th Sept through to 19th Sept.
  • Hours: Between 8:30 am and 9:00 pm, typical shifts 8:30 am–6:30 pm or 9:00 am–7:00 pm, with some 11:00 am–9:00 pm
  • Duties: Consultations and surgical lists

About the Role:

The client is seeking a capable Locum Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover across main hospital and branch sites. The rota offers a mix of consultations and surgery, with standard consult shifts of 9:00 am–7:00 pm at the main site and 8:30 am–6:30 pm at branches. Some late shifts of 11:00 am–9:00 pm are available. Surgical days run 9:00 am–6:00 pm. The caseload is varied, and the role would suit a confident clinician who can work independently within a supportive team. Weekend availability on selected Saturdays would be beneficial.

About the Practice:

The practice is a 24/7 small animal hospital within a respected regional group. It supports a large multidisciplinary team and provides access to an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and endoscopy. The service offers continuous patient care and a broad caseload that supports clinical development. Standards are high, with modern facilities and established protocols that enable efficient workflow across hospital and branch settings.
