Locum Small Animal Vet – Dundee

Key Details:

Working Days:

  • ASAP - 31st July (Mon-Fri)

Hours: Mix of 08:00-18:00 or 09:15-19:15

Duties: Consultations only, with some emergency on-the-day consults and might be a bit of sole charge involved (with RVN or VCA back-up)

About the Role:

  • The client seeks a capable Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide consultation cover across specified dates in June and early July.
  • On certain shifts, there will be a period of sole charge, so confidence in managing a steady caseload and making sound clinical decisions will be required.
  • The role will suit a small animal clinician who is comfortable with consult-only days, efficient client communication, and collaborative handovers to the permanent team.

About the Practice:

  • The practice operates a structured consulting diary with support from an experienced clinical team. Facilities enable efficient first-opinion small animal care, with established protocols for emergency consults and triage. The culture promotes clear communication, pragmatic problem-solving, and supportive teamwork. Locums will be briefed on site processes and will have access to administrative and nursing support during consulting sessions.
