Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Lewes

Key Details:

• Working Days: Full-time with flexible working considered, every other Saturday morning
• Hours: Consulting-focused across two branches with some routine operations
• Duties: Sole charge consulting, routine surgeries at one branch, client relationship building, 1:15 second on-call rota supporting nights and weekends
• Salary: Up to £60,000 p/a, reflective of skills and experience

About the Role:

• The client is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to split time between two community branches located approximately eight miles apart.
• The position will involve 2–3 days each week at the Lewes site, covering consultations and routine operations, and 2–3 mornings at the Woodingdean site for consulting only. Every other Saturday morning is required at Lewes.
• The role suits an experienced clinician who is comfortable with sole charge, case ownership, and communicating clearly with clients.
• The post offers autonomy to shape and grow the local client base while benefiting from the support of a larger group and direct access to a central hospital for guidance when needed.
• The rota also includes a 1:15 (second) on-call to support the night and weekend team.
