Why You'll Love This Role
This role offers the opportunity to step into a genuinely busy clinical environment where your experience will be valued from day one. You will be supporting a 24-hour service with a varied workload, while enjoying the continuity of staying with the same team and cases throughout the month.
About the Role
Day-to-day, you will be involved in wards work, operations, and routine Consultations. The role requires a Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable contributing to a hospital-style setting and supporting inpatient care alongside clinical procedures.
You will be working across a mixture of shifts, with the expectation of covering approximately four days per week. The rota includes early, middle, and later shifts, so some flexibility will be helpful.
Experience is important in this post, as you will be supporting an established 24-hour centre. Confidence with routine scans would be useful, although this is not essential.
About the Practice
The practice provides a broad range of veterinary services, including diagnostics, surgery, and preventive care. Its facilities include an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy, which support a varied clinical caseload.
The team includes multiple Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses, helping to create a collaborative working environment. With operating hours across seven days, the setting supports continuity of care and gives the team the flexibility needed to manage clinical demand.
Accommodation is available on site if required, which may suit a Locum Veterinary Surgeon looking for a practical and comfortable arrangement during the placement. Horsham is also well placed for those who value convenient access to the station and town centre.
If you are an experienced Small Animal Practice Veterinary Surgeon available for August, this role will be worth your consideration. Please apply or enquire for further information at your convenience.
