This is a locum opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse in Edinburgh within a busy Referral Hospital setting, supporting a substantial inpatient caseload through out-of-hours work.   • The rota can be arranged as either 4 pm to 4 am or 8 pm to 8 am, and a mixed rota in blocks may also be available. There is also flexibility for the day team to move to night cover if a Monday-to-Friday day-shift RVN is identified.
  • This is a minimum 3-month locum assignment, as two RVNs are on long-term sick leave and phased returns are expected to begin in around three months.

  • This is a large Referral Hospital with a significant overnight inpatient load and a broad clinical mix. The caseload includes canine, feline, and exotics, alongside ICU care, which creates a varied and engaging working environment for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • The team is structured to manage a busy out-of-hours service, and the role sits within a setting where referral experience is valued. The practice can also consider a day-shift RVN for Monday to Friday cover if that is the more suitable option.
