• The client is seeking a capable Locum Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover from 6 July 2026 on an ongoing basis. The role covers four days per week with a 1 in 4 weekend rota. The caseload includes a balanced mix of consultations and routine surgical procedures. The vet will handle occasional sole charge, supported by established protocols and a cohesive team.

About the Practice:

• The practice is a modern small animal surgery in Maldon, Essex, equipped with digital X‑ray and in‑house laboratory facilities. It delivers a comprehensive range of services, including vaccinations, neutering, and dental care. The team comprises six dedicated colleagues, including two Veterinary Surgeons and two Registered Veterinary Nurses, who work collaboratively to provide consistent patient care.
• Appointments run Monday to Saturday, with emergency services available. The practice engages with the local community through regular events and maintains a supportive environment that encourages good clinical standards and practical problem-solving.
