Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Rotherham

Key Details:

• Working Days: Full-time or part-time, minimum 20 hours per week
• Hours: Flexible shift patterns
• Duties: Consultations and routine soft tissue surgery, some sole charge
• Weekends: 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00 am–12:00 pm)
• OOH: No nights, no on call, no Sundays, no Bank Holidays except Good Friday

About the Role:

• The client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to support continued growth within a progressive small animal practice. The successful candidate will manage a balanced caseload of consultations and routine soft tissue surgery with 20-minute consults.
• A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience is preferred, with confidence in routine procedures and the ability to undertake some sole charge.
• The practice offers flexibility in shift patterns and is open to full or part-time arrangements.
• The role includes 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and carries no nights, on call, Sundays, or Bank Holidays except Good Friday.
• The package includes a competitive salary up to £65,000 DOE (FTE), a generous CPD allowance, additional annual leave after one year, and a birthday day off, alongside company discounts.

About the Practice:

• The practice operates from a bright, spacious, air-conditioned, purpose-built surgery equipped to industry standards. Facilities include a dedicated operating theatre, digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, rigid endoscopy, laparoscopy, and dentistry.
• The team comprises three full-time vets, one part-time vet, five RVNs, two SVNs, and one VCA, with advanced expertise in surgery, including orthopaedics, BOAS, and laparoscopy.
